My First Impression of Echo Park

Hello this is Jannet Park and I'm here to help keep this website updated and constantly keep members informed! However, I am shamed to say that before this new endeavor I had little to no knowledge about Echo Park and it's rich culture. Which then, in today's search-engine friendly world, led to a Google search. What I found was a city occupied by an extremely diverse group of people, landmarks, beautiful homes, but most importantly a city passionate about preserving its voice and culture.…

The fashion trade mag made it up to the hippest part of LA, where music and…

Secret Stairs: Combining Echo Park Alessandro Loop and Fellowship Parkway - A MUST

I just didn't know. Maybe you don't either.

Fellowship Parkway is a spectacular hidden jewel that every one should see. The perfect word is 'Idyllic' = extremely happy, peaceful, or picturesque.

When you walk through the unmarked entrance and up the steps, it's like you've found a hidden hamlet, a small forest of overgrown gardens, tree swings and hammocks. Away from the city that is so close by.

Staircases from Lemoyne Street and Lakeshore Ave. lead to this unusual walk…

Pit Bull attack Saturday night 1/14 at Echo Park/Baxter

About 11:30 pm friends dropped me off, and on the way home noticed a pit bull and another dog hanging around Elysian Elem. School. They warned one person walking their dog not to go that way, but meanwhile a woman walking an old Lab ran into them. The pit bull grabbed his jaws into the head of the Lab, and my friends stopped to help her. While one tried kicking the pit bull to get it to break off the attack, the other fended off the other from getting involved. When the kicking had no effect…

"Part of the difficulty of running a legally underground but aboveboard operation like the Outpost is that there are bound to be struggles with government bodies like the police," read an email sent to supporters…
