Echo Park's reputation used to boster scrapbooking industry

A company from Provo, Utah, is using the memory of Echo Park's glory days as the home to old Hollywood to sell paper:-

"Before the days of Hollywood, the Los Angeles film industry was centered in Echo Park. In it’s heyday Echo Park was home to silent film legends, Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin and the Three Stooges Legends that have lasted the test of time."

PaperPileKitten.com raves:

"This collection knocked my socks off! It goes straight to my "must have" list, without hesitation."

So consider a company that loves what Echo Park stands for but try to buy from a company that actually lives in, plays in or supports Echo Park.

Suggestions welcome on where we should go.

I've contacted UniqueLA to find out which of their vendors are Echo Park based - I already found out that founder Sonja Rasula is proud to be from Echo Park herself. She founded UNIQUE LA in order to bring together and support the creative community and encourage local shopping. They are fabulous events, for gifts, for yourself, for food. The next one is in December. She's even on the advisory board of both 826LA (The TIme Travel Store and tutoring center on Sunset).
