United Ghosts is a hot new band, I hear, that feature Axel Steuerwald. He just happens to teach me guitar. And that warrants a listen right there.

But don't take my word for it.

Axel was in Mere Mortals, who toured Japan an Europe and touted as the hottest unsigned band in Los Angeles by LAist. And Jonesy of Indie 103.1 said: "Get your checkbooks out, record labels, and give this mob a deal." They did get signed but they also proved merely mortal - breaking up this year. Axel has played with the likes of Frank Black and the Brian Jonestown Massacre among others.
