The Dream Center will host their annual Back To School Bash on August 10, 2013 at 11:00 am PDT for children and families from impoverished areas who make less than $15,000. The Dream Center will be giving away 1,800 backpacks, each filled with school supplies to families from the Echo Park, Rampart District, Skid Row, Lincoln Heights, South Central and Watts neighborhoods.

In preparation for back to school, each family can also receive health screenings, dental checkups and haircuts in addition to ample clothing and groceries. All of these services will be provided to the children and families at no cost. Families will be entertained at the daylong event with face painting, water and “slime” games, inflatable jumpers, a petting zoo, science fairs and raffles for bikes.
