Anyone who knows Bootie knows that Bootie creators A Plus D have always loved and been inspired by David Bowie, including Bowie in their DJ sets for years. So it was devastating news to learn that one of our biggest musical heroes -- and influences in so many cultural areas -- passed away this week. And while many of us are still reeling from his loss, Bootie instead wants to CELEBRATE the life and genius of the man in the only way we know how: by spinning all the best Bowie ORIGINALS, REMIXES & MASHUPS in the world, from the Thin White Duke and Ziggy Stardust to the Goblin King.

Resident DJs A Plus D will be spinning all the best Bowie originals you love, both obscure and his hits, along with some mixed, mashed and remixed. Adrian A. will be singing a few Bowie mashups live, while resident dance crew R.A.I.D. gives you Bowie-rific go-go insanity, and Marky Makeup helps you get your glam on with a Bowie Makeup Booth. Plus, we’ve got FREE “Bootie Loves Bowie” CDs for the first 100 people!

About Bootie:

Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 12 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
