Bootie LA has been a part of The Echo and the Echoplex since 2005, which is why we're proud to be an official after-party for Echo Park Rising, a free all-day festival that brings together local businesses on and around the Echo Park streets of Sunset, Glendale, and Echo Park Ave., celebrating music, independent art, local cuisine, and all around good times. Echo Park is known for its independent music scene, so Bootie DJs ShyBoy and Faroff will all be sprinkling in plenty of indie mashups throughout the night. Keeping the local indie theme going, LA indie-electro-pop duo Purple Crush takes to the stage for a high energy Midnight Mashup Show! Of course, resident dance crew R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) will be providing go-go antics all night, and club photographers SceneSnaps will be there to capture all the action!

Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past eight years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome.
