The first set will feature Trio Minus, with oboist Thomas Parisch and guitarist Yoon Lee, performing music by tango master, Astor Piazzolla. The two musicians met studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and joined forces years later after moving to L.A. Both are performer/composers who move freely in the worlds of classical, jazz, world and folk music. Thomas Parisch also writes music for film, television and video games, including Resident Evil 6.

Classical Revolution: L.A.

In the three years since its inception, Classical Revolution: L.A. has presented over 50 chamber music events in relaxed, accessible venues throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The group makes "chamber music cozy comfy in bars, clubs, coffee shops" and more "unexpected hangouts." (L.A. Weekly) Mark Swed of the L.A. Times called it an "addictive new series," that can make chamber music "startlingly subversive." Classical Revolution was founded in 2006 at the Revolution Cafe in San Francisco. The Classical Revolution model has spread around the world, with over 30 active chapters in cities around the US, Canada and Europe.
