Origami, a shoeboxed size piece of joy in the heart of Echo Park on Sunset, is so stuffed with vinyl that the bands must play in the loft. But the aura of hearing music from above, plus the amazing curatorial skills of the staff, have made Origram a desintation. And not just for the collector of hard to find records or even people who love indie music. But for bands on their way to stardom.

Iman Lababedi of Rock NYC (who took the above photo) has been spending a lot of time there and calls Echo Park the musically fecud part of LA (Don't worry I looked it up and it means fertile) reviewed the Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit show and the Jonsi show.

Then she points out she couldn't make Tuesday's Superchunk show.

But it's unclear if anybody can go - "The only way to guarantee entry to the show is by purchasing Majesty Shredding or the brand new reissues of No Pocky For Kitty and On The Mouth. We only have 40 spots. 1 LP = 1 entry so act fast!!!" That was posted Sept. 24 - but I couldn't find a follow up.
