Saturday, February 23 – FILM PROJECTION AND EXPANDED CINEMA WORKSHOP 7 – 1 – 5 PM

With all the innovations in digital cinema projection, film projectionists are a rare breed. Take this opportunity to learn film projection and proper film handling with a seniored film projectionist and filmmaker. EPFC's February LA AIR resident Huckleberry Lain has worked for numerous cinemas, film archives and is currently the head projectionist at CalArts' RedCat theatre in downtown LA. Learn to use variable speed projectors and how film projectors can interact with each other and with video projectors. You will discuss and experiment with using a projector in a performance based setting. Fee: $40. Instructor: Huckleberry Lain
