Los Angeles’ fifth CicLAvia heads goes from Chinatown to Expo Park and USC to Boyle Heights. You just have to get on your bike to enjoy streets that are open only for bikes - NO CARS ALLOWED.

Today Sunday, October 7, from 10 am-3 pm 9.1 miles of normally congested streets is a linear park for strolling and biking. The route connects the world-class museums of Exposition Park with the architectural landmarks surrounding the newly completed Grand Park in the city’s civic center.

Organizers anticipate that more than 100,000 Angelenos will participate in CicLAvia.
The CicLAvia route includes six hubs, each situated in the heart of a unique neighborhood and accessible by Metro Rail: MacArthur Park; Exposition Park; Grand Park at Civic Center; Central Plaza in Chinatown; and Mariachi Plaza and Soto Station in Boyle Heights.

YOU DON"T HAVE TO REGISTER. THERE IS NO FEE. JUST COME OUT AND ENJOY YOUR CITY.

CicLAvia is Los Angeles' adaptation of ciclovía, a phenomenon that began more than 35 years ago in Bogotá, Colombia, where every Sunday 80 miles of streets become closed to car traffic with the goals of reducing pollution and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
CicLAvia is made possible through the generosity of its partners, supporters, and sponsors.
Partners include: the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC), Health Happens Here, and REI.
Supporters include: the Rosenthal Family Foundation, the California Endowment, Blue Shield of California, First 5 LA the Roth Family Foundation, Good Samaritan Hospital, Bikes Belong, and the Chinatown Business Improvement District.
Sponsors include: Cascadian Farm, Larabar, Food Should Taste Good, the Southern California Gas Company, LA Sanitation, Northrop Grumman, South Coast Air Quality Management District, IBI Group, Tern Bicycles, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, HDR Engineering, Inc., Zipcar, Bike Nation, L.A. Downtown News, Via Café, Indie Printing, and Laemmle Theatres.
