Founding
fathers Laban Pheidias and Ted Newsome have been a creative duo for
almost two decades now. Pheidias’ guerrilla-filmmaking career evolved
from his antics in front of, and behind the camera, while he was a
professional skateboarder. Newsome cut his teeth at Transworld
Skateboarding Magazine where he visually directed the magazine and video
series. Laban and Ted are a great combination of "We can do this right
now" and "Let's think this through so we can make it as good as
possible."
2HeadedHorse
has created three original series for FUEL TV and delivered 73
action-packed episodes to date. The show that jump-started it all for
2HeadedHorse was American Misfits - a half-hour skateboarding show with a
split personality. One half skateboarding and one-half sketch comedy,
American Misfits focused on the truly unique characters in the already
colorful world of skateboarding. The show quickly nabbed FUEL TV’s #1
slot and won an EMA Green Seal award for green production practices.
This
award-winning hit led to the groundbreaking comedy series, Stupidface -
an hour-long experimental comedy show featuring scripted sketch, hidden
camera improv and edgey animation. 2HeadedHorse worked with the
funniest underground comedians and filmmakers in Los Angeles (and
beyond) to produce 26 episodes of cutting edge hilarity and hijinx.
2HeadedHorse
produced another hit show for FUEL TV called Built to Shred: a spin off
from a recurring segment on American Misfits. Built to Shred was the
first show to organically combine all action sports by simply building
and riding creative obstacles built primarily from salvaged materials.
Currently
2HeadedHorse has wrapped production of American Misfits season 3 "The
Quest for Gnar" and we are working hard to bring a multitude of creative
projects to fruition.
