Maria the Echo Park Lake Goose - up close
Heath Cliffrothman - This morning, I read in the Wall Street Journal about a goose named Maria, and the man, Dominic, who had bonded with the friendly (fearless) goose. They walk together, Maria follows his every move, and when he gets on his scooter, she flies alongside. I read that there was a "meetup" this morning at 9 a.m. to walk with Dominic and Maria, and there were plans to sing the West Side Story "Maria," to the bird, as a group.
