This food program offered by the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) for school-aged youth during the summer months.

The Summer Lunch Program offers FREE meals in public parks throughout the city between June 11th and August 12th.

This program is in partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District and is part of the City's implementation of the Good Food Purchasing Policy which will ensure public food dollars are spent in a way that delivers the best quality food with the highest nutritional value to our youth during the summer months when school is out.

This program is a tremendous benefit to many families in the community, and helps them save money on food during summer months while also making use of our wonderful public park space. No application or proof of income is needed.

Families can bring their children to one of the participating City of Los Angeles parks and enjoy a meal:

  • Bellevue Recreation Center
  • Echo Park Recreation Center
  • Glassell Park Recreation Center
  • Hollywood Recreation Center
  • Lemon Grove Recreation Center
  • Shatto Recreation Center
  • Unidad Park
  • Yucca Park Community Center
