The 704; Wasting Time at Rock Shows reviews the new venue everyone it talking about in LA - Echo Park's Lot 1 cafet.

And they all use the same wording. It's creepy. Like, have you ever heard someone use words like "Echo Park's latest hotbed of musical activity" out loud? It ain't right."
Lord Growing, at the author demands to be called, begrudgingly gave the new experiment in musical boundaries a thumbs up.
"Lot 1's all right. I like it. ... They serve good beer and, uh, you know, acceptable wine. They've been booking a pretty wide range of acts--singer-songwriters, punk rock heroes, and just about everything in between. ...
