Echo Park music scene benefits from Taix, traditionally French, rencently hipster

Taix's 321 Lounge does live and local Echo Park music nearly every night of the week and often will stay open serving food until 1 a.m. - not your mama's French restaurant. Justin Gage recently showcased Taix and Echo Park Online member Mike Taix.

Julie Richmond, aka "Carolina Chickadee," books Wednesday with Americana music.
Mike Taix does Thursday and Saturday.
Greg Franco does Friday nights, "P.T.S.C."--Plate Tectonics Social Club.
Margie Kment and Zack Sherwin book Sunday for French Toast, a comedy standup on Sunday evenings.

"We are presenting acts where it's rocking; acoustic instruments, freaky folk, bands that are reverent to a California Country thing, good vibes, generally folky," said Franco, who's band is Rough Church, in the AOL Patch article.
Know any good bands?
Julie Richmond also presents 'Melody In The Round," an intimate singer-songwriter night featuring four artists swapping songs and sharing stories about the songs they've written and perform.
