Silver Lake Dogs Die in Bus Luggage Compartment

I recently received this from a friend of mine and the community's. It's a warning to others regarding travel with animals. These are her words.

Hello,

I am reaching out to you in a time of great difficulty.
Bella and Charlie, my lovely little pekingese, were KIILLED BY A BUS COMPANY'S NEGLIGENCE.
I am looking to get the help of some media to bring this terrible story to light.
Please let me know if you can help as I do not want Bella and Charlie to have died in vain.

Here is the story:
My father took me to Mexico to help me relax and recuperate as I have bee very sick for many months.
The tragedy happened over there.

Bella and Charlie, my beloved little pekingeses were killed a couple of days ago by a bus company called ADO in Mexico.
The company stated that they accept animals but then later forced my father to put them under the bus, with the luggage, assuring him that this is what they do all the time, that the area is well ventilated and that he had no other option.  My dad refused.  The police came and told him that is how they do it there.  After being reassured many times by many people that this is normal procedure my dad eventually.

Once they arrived at their destination my babies were found dead.
I am in absolute shock and pain so great I cannot stop crying.
They were young, healthy and the most loving little creatures.
They did not deserve to die this way and I intend to not let them die in vain.

With the help of the media I want to bring this horrible story to light.
ADO bus company, which survives on tourism alone, killed the two most loving creatures I have ever known and people need to know the truth about these monsters. Their website is: http://www.ado.com.mx/ado/index.jsp

I need someone to talk to in the media and/ or someone from some animal advocacy group.
I already contacted PETA but that is not enough.

Would you happen to have someone to recommend either here in the US, in Canada or in Mexico?

Any little hint can help.

Please help me make their painful death one that will be used for a good cause or at least denounce a heartless, lying company that makes most of its profits from Americans and other tourists.

Thank you,
Manon Laplante

Thank you Clint.  It is extremely difficult indeed.  The guilt...  You assume people speak the truth and are trustworthy.

The real point of the story is that we were told this is how it was done all the time and that it was OK.
We believed that the people telling us were honest, caring human beings and that we had to accept that things are different in other countries.
My dad would have never done this if it wasn't for FIVE different people telling him the same thing. He initially refused of course.
I had not written this as an article to be published but if I did I would have put the emphasis on the fact that ADO representatives said all the right things to convince my father and made him believe it was going to be ok and that, again, being in another culture, you want to be open and accepting of the differences.
My dad would have never put my babies down there if he hadn't been seriously reassured about it by many people from the company and policemen alike. He trusted them.
