All politics are local in Echo Park - Neighborhood Council elections Sat. April 12

The Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment will conduct the election for the Greater Echo Park Neighborhood Council on April 12, 2014 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Location is Edendale Branch Public Library, 2011 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026.

GEPENC is divided into 5 districts. There are seats for district representatives, and executive officers that are district wide seats.

Vo
ters CAN:
vote without being a registered voter.
vote with out being a citizen

Voters MUST:
  • live, work or own property within GEPENC boundaries, or
  • declare a stake in the neighborhood as a Community Interest Stakeholder, defined as a stakeholder with a substantial and ongoing participation within the Neighborhood Council boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, nonprofit, and religious.
  • prove stakeholder status by documentation (see http://www.slideshare.net/EmpowerLA/nc-elections-acceptable-forms-of-documentation-2014-revised)
