On Sunday, November 24, 2013, the Environment California Research and Policy Center will host a community meeting in Silver Lake to release the new report "Solar in the Spotlight", which profiles homeowners, businesses and community groups across the city of Los Angeles that have chosen solar power. State Senator Kevin de Leon will give a quick presentation; several of the businesses and homeowners featured in the report will also be there to share their stories. At the end of the meeting, there will be a chance to get involved in the campaign to achieve 20% local solar power by 2020 with a letter-writing workshop, video testimonials, and some fun art projects and activities for kids!  The event takes place on Saturday, November 24^th from 3:00-4:30 pm at Micheltorena Elementary School , 1511 Micheltorena Street in Silver Lake.
