Echo Parenting & Education is excited to announce our 13th annual Peace Day Picnic commemorating the 2013 International Day of Peace on September 22, 2013! This open event is a time for families and communities members to come together in the spirit of peace and celebrate with food and great activities!

The International Day of Peace, or “Peace Day” was established by the UN in 1981 to coincide with the opening of the General Assembly and provide an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on one shared day. This year’s Peace Day Picnic will be held at Elysian Park near the Grace E. Simons Lodge in Los Angeles. We will also be honoring Echo Parenting & Education founder, Ruth Beaglehole during the celebration. Feel free to bring any food or drinks to share!
