Did New Years Eve do you wrong? Were your expectations too high? Was your midnight kiss with the wrong person? Did your friends make you go somewhere other than Bootie? Well, now you've got a second chance. It's Bootie LA's NYE Do-Over Party! That's right, we're doing New Years Eve all over again so that this time, you can do it right! We're even going to have a midnight countdown, and another epic balloon drop!
Kicking the year off to a raucous start will be Bootie SF’s live house band Smash-Up Derby, returning to the Echoplex stage at 11 PM for a special NYE Do-Over set! Voted "Best Cover Band" in the Bay Area three times, Smash-Up Derby prides itself on giving audiences "twice as much music in half the time." As the world's first mashup rock band, Smash-Up Derby takes the complex artform of fusing two completely different songs together into one seamless creation – and not only makes it look easy, but looks good doing it!
Bootie co-creator Adrian (of A Plus D) comes down from San Francisco to join LA resident DJ ShyBoy to make sure your year starts over right, spinning only the greatest mashups, including the best of the past year! Guaranteed to get you dancing, they'll reset your year so you can get a fresh start! Plus, resident dance crew R.A.I.D. will provide their usual go-go insanity, and SceneSnaps will be there to capture the madness, giving you another chance to look great! All this, plus free “Best of Bootie 2014” mix CDs for the first 100 people through the door!
