It's the Day Of The Dead, which means that even though Halloween's over, you still have an excuse to dress up and dance! Paint on your best candy-skull face and drag your bones out to hit the Bootie dance floor. On this day when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, resident DJs Adrian (of A Plus D) and ShyBoy will be throwing down mashups that will keep the dancing going until the skeletons shuffle off into the night.
Plus, because the Halloween weekend isn’t over until we say it’s over, there will be a special Midnight Costume Contest, with $200 First Prizes in three catagories: Best Overall Costume, Best Day of the Dead Costume, and Scariest Costume. Of course, R.A.I.D. will be filling the stage with spooktacular go-go antics as well as a deadly Midnight Mashup Show, and house photographers SceneSnaps will be there to capture all the madness!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past nine years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome.
